Indian Railways earned Rs 429.90cr from Shramik special trains

According to the data by the Railways Ministry, the Indian Railways collected Rs 429.90 crore revenue through fares collected from Shramik special trains till July 9. However, the Railways had to spend Rs 2400 crore in operating Shramik Trains. The highest revenue came from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu with Rs 102 crore, Rs 85 crore and Rs 34 crore respectively. Centre stated the Shramik trains on May 1.
