India's first glass bridge to be built in Rishikesh, near Laxman Jhula, ready by Kumbh 2021

Lakshman Jhula is an iconic landmark in Rishikesh, built about 90 years ago during the British period. It was in a bad shape after which government had shut it down on July 12. Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat sanctioned Rs 3 crore for building a new bridge after Lakshman Jhula was declared unfit for use. The first phase has been approved & the new glass bridge will be ready before Kumbh in 2021.
