Indian Cricket Team captain, Virat Kohli, along with weightlifter, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, and Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth is nominated for the year’s honorable Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. If the Sports Minister, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, will approve the recommendation, Virat will become the 3rd cricketer to get this award. Earlier in 1997, Sachin Tendulkar received the award after him Dhoni in 2007 received the award.
