Abasher app that allows men to spy on women criticized, while Saudi Arabia defends it

Saudi Arabia ministry defended an app called 'Absher app'; allows men to track/spy on their women counterparts. The free app is available on both Android & Apple phones. It allows users to renew passports, visas & various other electronic services. However, a US lawmaker has criticised tech giants for offering it. Several critics said that the app allows abuse against girls, women by allowing men to spy their movements.
