Author Arundhati Roy apologised for her decade-old remarks comparing the Indian and Pakistan armies, stating that what she had believed back then is not what she has on her mind at the moment. A 2011 video clip of Roy has gone viral now in which she says that the Indian state has deployed its Army against people in regions including Kashmir, the northeast, Telangana, and Goa. Roy clarified the matter and apologised.
