BJP uses army officer's photo for campaigning; EC issues advisory to desist use of campaigning photos posters

BJP recently was slammed for using IAF pilot Abhinandan's photo in their campaign posters, Twitteratis criticised the party for politicising the Pulwama attack & the pilot's capture. An activist questioned the Election Commission if this was permissible. The EC has asked political parties to desist from displaying photos of defence personnel for any kind of advertising propaganda in their election campaign.
