Brazil beat Paraguay on penalty to reach Copa semifinals

Gabriel Jesus hammered the winning spot-kick in a nerve-tickling penalty shoot-out as Brazil finally had the luck to beat Paraguay on Thursday confirming the Copa America semifinal spot. Incidentally, twice before in 2011 and 2015, Paraguay had beaten Brazil at the same stage on penalties at the South American football tournament. The tournament hosts will face either Argentina or Venezuela in Tuesday’s semi-final.
