Facebook’s cryptocurrency to debut next week

Facebook now has the full support of over a dozen companies for its Libra cryptocurrency, which will be announced next week. These companies include financial organizations like Visa and Mastercard, and internet giants like PayPal, Uber, Stripe, and Booking.com. Each will be investing $10 million to fund the development of the currency and will be part of Libra Association, an independent consortium for the digital coin.
