Gujarat rikshaw driver attempts suicide after being challaned Rs 18000

Raju Solanki, a rikshaw driver from Gujarat tried committing suicide by drinking phenyl after he was fined with Rs.18000 according to the new Motor Vehicle Act. Raju tried committing suicide after his rikshaw was confiscated as he was unable to pay the fine due to his poor financial condition. He has been admitted to the hospital after the incident. "I am unable to go to work as my rickshaw has been confiscated," said Raju.
