India welcomes its first ever uterine transplanted baby

World’s first uterine transplant was done in 2002 and since then 27 such transplants were done out which only 11 women had successful deliveries. And India got its first ever baby born after uterine transplant on Thursday at 12.12 am. Meenakshi and Hitesh Valand are extremely happy. Pune’s Galaxy Hospital team is happy that they did it successfully. Out of those 11 babies, 9 were born in Sweden and 2 were born in the US.
