By winning the FIFA best player of the year on Monday, Croatia’s Luka Modric has cleared one thing that the era of Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi has ended. He has inspired his team to reach the World Cup Final for the first time. Madrid has won Champions League for the straight third time. Luka defeated Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah to win the prize. Ronaldo and Messi won 5 FIFA awards each in different categories.
