Google reveals that microphone in its Nest guard security device was not a secret but got omitted from the tech specs. Americans thinking if other Nest products too have microphones they are not aware of, criticized Google. The firm says microphone is there for routine alarm checks. Nest Protect 2nd gen contains a microphone, while Nest Learning Thermostat & Nest Thermostat E doesn't contain a microphone.
