Gujaratis disclose Rs 18,000 crore of black money before demonetization: RTI reveals

An RTI shockingly revealed that Gujarat unveiled Rs 18,000 crore of black money under the Income Declaration Scheme (IDS) in 4 months which is 29% of the total black money disclosed by the country. This happened between June and September 2016, before demonetization and the revelation of Mahesh Shah’s illegal income of Rs 13,860 Cr. The reply to the RTI filed by Bharatsinh Jhala came after the struggle of 2 years.
