Why political leaders are bringing Lord Ram in between the elections?

Every now and then political leaders pull gods into their statements. On Wednesday, the former Goa RSS Chief Subhash Velingkar said that even the lord Ram would have spent money to get elected in the ongoing political situations. He said this while addressing the youth convention of the GSM. He said that during elections the politicians try to grab votes by bribing the youth and women by offering them cash or gifts.
