Sweety Shetty was born in the Karnataka city of Mangalore. She is of Tuluva ethnicity, descended from the Bellipady Uramalu Guthu tribe. Prafulla and A. N. Vittal Shetty are her parents, and she has two older brothers, Gunaranjan Shetty and Sai Ramesh Shetty. Anushka graduated from Mount Carmel College in Bangalore with a Bachelor of Computer Applications. She was also a yoga teacher who had studied with Bharat Thakur.
