Early Life
Mouni Roy was born to Bengali parents and had one younger sister. She received her education at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Babuhat, Cooch Behar. Mouni graduated from Miranda House, University of Delhi, with a Major in English Literature.
After finishing her graduation, she started doing mass correspondence from Jamia Milia Islamia University in Delhi at her parents' invitation. Still, she dropped out halfway through and moved to Mumbai to try her luck in small screen, and she hasn't returned to Delhi yet. She regards her father as her lone positive role model. Her relatives, companions, and friends, and family refer to her as Maanya and Mon.
Career
Since her childhood, Mouni Roy has had a strong desire to act and move. She used to be interested in her school's and school's transfer rivalries. She made her acting debut in 2007 as Krishnatulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
From then on, she participated in and won Zara Nachke Dikha alongside Karishma Tanna and Jennifer Winget. She has appeared in famous TV shows such as Kasturi, Naagin, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Do Saheliyaan, and others. Mouni has also appeared on reality shows such as Comedy Nights Bachao, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7, etc. She even made a move appear on So You Think You Can Dance.
In 2018, Mouni made her Bollywood debut alongside Akshay Kumar in Gold, directed by Reema Kagti. She will also enter the advanced universe via ALT Balaji's web-arrangement Mehrunissa.
Relationships
Gaurav started dating Mouni after bidding farewell to artist Narayani Shastri. Mouni and Gaurav were contestants on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Woh. Following an impressive two to three years, both went their separate ways due to some personal issues.
Mouni and Mohit Raina, on the other hand, are extremely private and have never spoken to the general public or the press about their reputed sentiment. In an interview with the Times of India, Mohit said, "We aren't getting married this year."
