Tamanna Bhatia, who is professionally known as Tamannah, was labeled as the "real scene-stealer" very early on in her career. To be precise, she was just 15 when she started appearing on the screen and impressed the critics within a year of her entry into the business. But how did her journey start?

Tamannah was born in Mumbai to Santosh and Rajani Bhatia on December 21, 1989. Her father is a diamond merchant, and Tamannah is undoubtedly the best of his gems. Tamannah comes from a Sindhi family, and she did her schooling at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Mumbai. She also has an elder brother whose name is Anand.

The acting was no coincidence for Tamanna. She was very active in the co-curricular activities in her school, and the credit for her initial professional success goes to her school performance only. She got her first lead when she was just 13 after her talent was spotted during the annual day function at her school. She became a part of Mumbai's Prithvi Theatre for a year. She featured in Abhijeet Sawant's album song "Lafzon Mein" from the album Aapka Abhijeet. The album came out in 2005, and that was Tamanna's first major success.

Tamanna got her first lead role in 2005 only. For the Hindi movie Chand Sa Roshan Chehra, she shared the screen with Samir Aftab. However, the movie failed to impress the critics as well as the audience. She debuted in the Telugu film industry in the same year with a film named 'Sri.' Her Tamil industry debut came next year in 2006 with the movie Kedi. 2005 and 2006 were the foundational years for Tamanna's career. While her films weren't Box Office hits, her acting did leave a mark, and it ensured that the road ahead was less difficult.

Next year in 2007, Tamanna starred in Shakti Chidambaram's Viyabari. Tamanna received massive praise for her actions despite the film being a massive flop at the box office. Her next major breakthrough came with Sekhar Kammula's Happy Days and Balaji Sakthivel's Kalloori. Both the films were hit, and Tamanna established herself as a critically acclaimed actress. She also earned a nomination at the 56th Filmfare Awards South in the Best Tamil Actress category. She had now established herself as a successful actress in both Tamil as well as Telugu film industries.

The next few years were not extremely good for Tamanna's career, but she managed to keep it together with a few films in the South, for which she received mixed reactions from the critics. Later in 2007, Tamanna appeared in the remake of Jab We Met in Tamil, Kanden Kadhalai, and she earned huge praise for the film. By now, Tamanna had become one of the most successful actresses in the Tamil film industry.

Despite all the success in the Tamil industry, Tamanna had to struggle in Telugu and Hindi film industries, and her roles were limited to small budget movies or cameos. But the lousy stretch didn't last long, and she made a fabulous comeback with Sukumar's 100% Love, co-starring Naga Chaitanya. The film was a huge success, and Tamanna's screen presence left everyone amazed. Her next film was Badrinath, in which she shared the screen with Allu Arjun.

Tamanna bhatia in entertainment

After almost 8 years, Tamanna returned to the Hindi film industry with Sajid Khan's Himmatwala. However, the film failed to impress the critics, and the response from the audience was not extraordinary either. However, she was compared to Sridevi for her appealing appearance on screen.

She returned to the Telugu film industry with Kishore Kumar Pardasany's Tadakha. The film was a commercial success and opened doors of opportunities for Tamanna. After several Tamil and Telugu films, she once again made a comeback in Bollywood with Sajid Khan's Humshakals as one of the female leads. She shared the screen with Saif Ali KhanRam KapoorRiteish DeshmukhBipasha Basu, and Esha Gupta. The film didn't perform well, but Tamannah had become a known face in the Hindi film industry and her fan base expanded in the coming years. Her next big film was Akshay Kumar-starer Entertainment, and it couldn't do wonders either. Tamman's biggest break in commercial success came in 2015 when she starred in the first part of S. S. Rajamouli's two-part multilingual fictional epic film Baahubali, co-starring PrabhasRana Daggubati, and Anushka Shetty. It was the third highest-grossing Indian film.

Her upcoming projects include Seetimaarr, Maestro, F3, Bole Chudiyan, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, and That is Mahalakshmi.

The net worth of Tamannah is estimated at over $15 million.

Tamannah is presently unmarried. There were rumors that she dated Indian Cricket Team skipper Virat Kohli for a brief period in the past.

Recently both Janhvi Kapoor and Tamanna started the trend of the latest Metallic gown and are looking sizzling hot
