40 countries, excluding India agreed on automatic braking in cars

40 countries, excluding India, China or the US have agreed that light commercial vehicles and cars need automatic emergency braking system and the regulation will require all the cars to have this feature, starting from next year. The requirement will start taking effect from next year in Japan and the European Union and some of its neighbours will follow suit in 2022. The countries agreed on the deal to reduce road accidents.
