White Motorcycle Concepts pioneered the concept. The bike has a hollow tube in the centre where an engine would typically be installed. Based on tests at the UK's Horiba MIRA facility, the tunnel runs from front to rear, allowing the bike to cut drag by 70%. The bike is scheduled to try the British electric semi-streamlined motorcycle record later this year, and eventually the world record sometime in the near future.
