Battery swapping facility launched by Indian oil for electric vehicles

In order to promote use of electric vehicles, a battery swapping facility has been launched by the Indian Oil Corporation at an Indian Oil pump in Chandigarh. It is a Quick Interchangeable Service that will target electric autos, rickshaws and 2-wheelers. The company is planning to install around 20-25 such facilities in selected Indian cities. Indian oil will launch these facilities in collaboration with Sun Mobility.
