The Union ministry of road transports and highways is planning to bring a new rule regarding the carpooling services in India. The government is planning to restrict carpool services to no profit, no loss model. It is being done to prevent the commercialization of carpool services. The ministry plans to limit carpooling to 4 rides per driver, and both the driver and the riders must complete their KYC before riding, suggests a report.
