India charting plans to become top electric vehicles manufacturer

In a bid to reduce carbon footings, India is planning to make a transition to electric vehicles. Over 2 million electric vehicles were sold in 2019 worldwide. The Indian government has already announced tax cuts to encourage people to go for electric vehicles. With electric vehicle giants like Tesla planning to enter the Indian market, the production of electric vehicles in the country is expected to increase starting 2021.
