With the government constantly taking steps to promote electric vehicles in Indian to reduce carbon levels, experts think that electric vehicles may have a 30% penetration in the Indian market. If the number turns out to be true, India may save Rs. 1.1 lakh crore on crude oil imports annually by 2030. This will also lead to a 17% decrease in particulate matter and NOx emissions. This is expected to help India in fighting pollution.
