Maruti Suzuki to stop sale of Diesel Cars by April 2020

Maruti Suzuki announced that all its diesel cars with the 1.3-litre DDIS engine would be phased out by April 2020 & form April 1, 2020, none will be on sale. The company sais as BS-6 norms float in, and it will primarily focus only on upgrading petrol models to BS-6 that includes passenger & commercial vehicles. Maruti will decide whether to sell a new diesel engine in India or not depending on market demand.
