Ola ordered to pay Rs 95,000 compensation for overcharging Hyderabad customer

A consumer court in Hyderabad has directed Ola Cabs to pay Rs 95,000 to a customer for overcharging him and also for deficiency in service. The petitioner alleged that he was billed and forced to pay Rs 861 for a 4-5 km journey which should not have cost more than Rs 200. Jabez Samuel complained that he, his wife, and an assistant had booked a cab on October 19, 2021 for four hours.
