Ola, Uber commission to be capped to 10% : Govt

The government is going to cap the commission of the cab-hailing firms including Ola and Uber to 10% of the total fare. At present, they earn around 20% of commission per ride. Govt has suggested capping the surge price to a maximum of twice the the base fare. The draft of this proposal is scheduled to be released by next week. It will also include guidelines on the cancellation charges and much it should be.
