PSA trade unions ready for merger with Fiat

A large portion of the unions for workers at Peugeot maker PSA has agreed to a potential $50 billion merger with Fiat Chrysler. But the unions have made it clear once the merger deal is secured, they will need detailed information regarding the combined company’s future plans. The deal has already raised questions in Germany and Britain where Opel and Vauxhall plants saw mass sacking recently in a cost-cutting drive.
