28,000 Disney employees in US to lose jobs due to coronavirus pandemic

Adventure and entertainment firm Disney has said that it will lay off 28,000 employees from its US parks and experiences division due to a sudden lack in demand owing to the coronavirus pandemic. "We believe that the steps we are taking will enable us to emerge a more effective and efficient operation when we return to normal," said Josh D Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.
