Axis Bank appoints HDFC Life's Amitabh Chaudhary as new MD and CEO

Shikha Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of Axis Bank will be replaced by Amitabh Chaudhary once she resigns from office on December 31st, 2018. Chaudhary, who is currently the Managing Director of HDFC Life, was appointed for the positions today by the Board of the Bank, after an approval was granted by RBI. He thanked the board for his appointment and will stay in office for three years, starting January 1st, 2019.
