Nike's sales remained unaffected after they aired the controversial ad starring former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has been the originator of protests against racial injustice and police brutality. The Nike ad featured a picture of him with the slogan “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything. Just do it.” Nike's sales surged 31% during the Labour Day weekend.
