Aadhar scheme is a game changer, saved Rs 90,000 crore: Arun Jaitley

FM Arun Jaitley has stated that implementation of the Aadhar scheme enabled the government to save Rs 90,000 crore until March 2018 due to elimination of several duplicate beneficiaries, non-existent beneficiaries and fake beneficiaries. He said that the amount saved can be used to fund 3 public welfare schemes of the size of Ayushman Bharat, which is the National Democratic Alliance government’s healthcare programme.
