In the last few years, in their effort to look as 'cool' or as 'trendy' as Amazon or Google, IBM has fired more than 1,00,000 employees. The company has been hit by multiple age discrimination suits filed by its former employees. A former IBM human resource vice-president, Alan Wild said that the company laid off 50,000 to 1,00,000 employees in the last few years to project that it wasn't an old fuddy, daddy organization.
