India's national airliner Air India is bracing itself to face losses worth Rs. 9,500 crore to Rs. 10,000 crore in the current financial year. If the numbers turn true, it will be the highest loss for Air India since it merged with Indian Airlines in 2007. “Of the total, about Rs. 8,000 crore is estimated to be cash losses and the rest will be on account of depreciation cost,” an unnamed government official said.
