Amazon faces backlash for sale of rugs, shoes with Hindu Gods images

In India, Amazon faced a severe backlash in social media after it sold toilet seat covers, rugs, shoes, etc. with images of Hindu Gods or sacred Hindu symbols were spotted on the US retailer's website. This made "#BoycottAmazon" a trending topic on Twitter. Somer Twitteratis tagged Sushma Swaraj & urged her to take legal actions against the online giant. Some of those items were no longer available for purchase.
