Around 19 crore adults without a bank account in India : World Bank

India has been ranked second with the largest unbanked population after China. 19 crore people don’t have bank accounts as per World Bank. 11% of the unbanked adults are in India. It is also noted that the country’s increasing population with a bank account has doubled since 2011. PM also launched Jan Dhan Yojana that enrolled 31 crore Indians into banking. Globally, 69% adults have a bank account or a money provider app.
