Bank employees wear black bands and protests as the government decides to merge 10 public banks

This Saturday, the central government shared a mega plan to merge 10 public sector banks into four. This was to revive and strengthen India's economy. However, members from the All India Bank Employees Association outraged a protest in Chennai against the government’s move. The other states which participated are Bhopal, Kolkata etc. The declaration stated all the six banks would be closed after the implementation of this merger.
