Biggest intra-day high for Sensex in 1.5 years

Before closing the market on Monday, Sensex was up 610.80 points to reach 33917.94 which is the biggest intra-day gain for Sensex in last 1.5 years. Except for the PSU banks, all sectoral indices were high while 210 shares remained unchanged, 1380 shares advanced and 1341 shares declined. Bharti Airtel, ITC, Hindalco has gained about 4%. Nifty had also traded up by 194.50 points to reach 10421.40.
