Reliance Industries reports a 13.5% rise in consolidated net profit to a record Rs 11,640 crore in the 3rd quarter. Revenue at its retail & telecoms units jumped more than 25% in Dec as the company is making heavy investments to bring them at par with its petrochemical & refining businesses. It has grown to become India's largest retailer with over 10,000 stores while Jio became the largest wireless operator in just 3 years.
