ByteDance’s TikTok deal with Oracle may not get Chinese government's approval

According to the Chine government mouthpiece Global Times, ByteDance’s TikTok deal with Oracle may land in trouble as Beijing is not keen on approving the deal as the deal requires Oracle to get access to TikTok’s source code. “It is clear that these articles (terms) extensively show Washington’s bullying style and hooligan logic. They hurt China’s national security, interests and dignity,” an editorial by Global Times read.
