Chef Marc Veyrat sues Michelin guide after cheese mix-up in evaluation

French chef Marc Veyrat has filed a lawsuit against the Michelin Guide after the inspectors stripped his restaurant of its covered third start, claiming they had botched the evaluation, in particular over a cheese souffle. Veyrat’s La Maison des Bois restaurant in French Alps was demoted to two stars from the maximum three in January, after he secured the industry’s highest accolade, leaving Veyrat in depression.
