Cognizant to give 25% extra base pay to staff in India, Philippines amid Coronavirus outbreak

IT firm Cognizant has announced an additional payment of 25 per cent of the base pay for April, for employees up to the associate level, in India and the Philippines in the wake of the novel Coronavirus. The announcement was made by Brian Humphries, the CEO of the company, in a broadcast note to the employees in India and Philippines. The move is likely to benefit more than 1,30,000 Cognizant employees in India.
