Coronavirus effect: Sensex witnesses slump of 2500 points, Nifty plunges below 9,800 mark

As the rising fears of the Global pandemic, Coronavirus has affected the global market and trade heavily, the Indian market is not untouched. At 11 am, Sensex fell 2,520.10 points to trade at 33,177.30 while Nifty slipped 722.5 points to trade at 9,724.50. This is the first time since March 26, 2018, that Nifty dropped below the 10,000 mark. Global equity markets also fell owing to Trump's decision to suspend travel from Europe.
