Coronavirus measures might lead to global food shortage: UN

UN’s food body has warned that protectionist measures by the governments to deal with the Coronavirus crisis can lead to a global food shortage. In the coming weeks, governments might restrict food flow. UN said that the governments need to resist calls from some quarters to protect their own food supply and for that it will be required to restrict the exports. Kazakhstan has already banned exports of wheat flour.
