Coronavirus PM relief fund: Rs 2000 upfront payment for 8.67 crore farmers, Rs.500 per month to 20 crore women

While briefing the media about the Prime Minister relief fund to fight the novel coronavirus, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said about 8.67 crore farmers will get Rs. 2000 per month for next 3 months, with first payment to be made in the 1st month of april. Sitharaman also said elderly people will get an ex-gratia amount of Rs.1000. Around 20 crore women will get Rs.500 per month for the next 3 months.
