Dailyhunt buys LocalPlay for presence in Tier II and III cities

News platform Dailyhunt announced on Thursday that they had acquired LocalPlay, a hyperlocal video and news content app. The purchase has come as the Bengaluru-based firm wants to attract new users living in Tier II, III and IV Indian cities and villages. Founder of Dailyhunt, Virendra Gupta, said that with this acquisition, they want to be the user's go-to destination for local language content across the country.
