Economic Survey 2019: India needs to grow at 8% to become $5 trillion economy by 2025

A day before Budget Day, FM Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey 2019 in the Parliament today. The Survey which is prepared by Chief Economic Adviser Krishnamurthy Subramanian predicated 7% GDP growth in FY20. It also pointed out that to become a $5 trillion economy by 2025, India needs to sustain a GDP growth rate of 8%. The survey said govt policies expected to lift restrictions on FDI inflows further.
