Facebook is ready to pay a penalty of £500,000 fine to the Information Commissioner’s Office over the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The announcement by ICO and its intention to fine Facebook was issued in July 2018. The main concern of ICO was that UK citizen data was getting exposed to a serious risk of harm. They believe in the Protection of personal information along with personal privacy is of prime importance under the GDPR.
