Calling himself a 'sellout', Whatsapp co-founder Brian Acton said during an interview that he lives with the choice of selling the privacy of his users for a larger benefit to Facebook, which has a business ethic different from his. Acton, who left Facebook in 2017, tweeted that people should delete Facebook and revealed that the company wanted to monetise Whatsapp and was even reluctant to add end-to-end encryption.
