Flipkart forays into hotel booking services

Flipkart has now forayed into the travel sector with the launch of its hotel booking service called Flipkart Hotels. Touted as a ‘budget-friendly’ service, Flipkart Hotels will be available on the ecommerce app and will allow users to choose from around 3 Lakh domestic and international hotels. The service will be backed by Flipkart’s OTA arm Cleartrip and will deploy the ticketing platform’s API to allow users to scout hotels.
