Flipkart shifts 50% private labels manufacturing unit from China & Malaysia to India

In a recent update, the e-commerce site Flipkart has moved its almost 50% of the manufacturing and sourcing units for private labels from China and Malaysia to India. The move will help the Walmart-controlled firm to cut down cost and comply with government’s make in India initiative. Adarsh Menon, head of private label business, said that electronics, textiles, TVs, AC, among others are now being sourced from India.
